On Friday, September 23, 2022 we gathered together to have our very first TaikoVentures Pau Hana Zoom session. In Hawaiian culture, pau(“to end”) hana(“work) is a time for relaxation, socializing with friends and family, and enjoying food and drinks while talking story. So our first gathering centered around 6 of our Senior Vocationists - Russel Baba & Jeanne Mercer, Roy & PJ Hirabayashi, and Kenny & Chizuko Endo. They weaved together a story of what led them to meet each other on their journey to becoming the taiko artists that they are today.
